Solo to Dance 24 Hours on International Dance Day

TEMPO Interactive, Surakarta:The Surakarta administration has confirmed its participation in International Dance Day on April 29. Widdi Srihanto, Surakarta Tourism, Arts, and Culture Board director, confirmed that Surakarta will hold the “Solo Dances 24 Hours” event to commemorate International Dance Day.

“We want to preserve and develop Indonesian arts, including its dances,” Widdi told reporters at his office on Wednesday. Solo Dances will be held within the area of the Indonesian Arts Institute of (ISI) of Solo and outside the campus.

The inauguration will be conducted at ISI Solo on April 29 at 6 a.m., which marks the beginning of a 24-hour dance performance by three dancers: Dionisius from Solo, Muh Hery Haryanto from Madiun and Muh Orisham bin Osman from Singapore.
