RI vs Malaysia in May

TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:The Indonesian national team will hold a trial run competition against AFF Championship winner, Malaysia, in Jakarta this May. The All Indonesian Football Federation (PSSI) national team coordinator Bob Hippy, says the event will be noted as an official party in the international soccer organization (FIFA) and could increase Indonesia’s international ranking.

“We know that the venue will be in Jakarta, but we don’t have the fixed schedule. It could be on May 1 or 9,” said Bob yesterday. The competition, he said, will be a test for the team’s preparedness before the Al-Nakbah tournament in Palestine on May 13-24. “We’d be able to see how ready Nil Maizar’s team is,” said Bob.

In the international ranking table released by FIFA recently, Indonesia is placed 151st down from 140th last month.
