SBY Shocked by Speech Leak
Saturday, 14 April, 2012 | 10:21 WIB
TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono has reacted after his speech in front of the Democrat Party’s executives was leaked to the public. “Certainly the president was shocked that his internal speech was leaked,” said presidential spokesman Julian Aldrin Pasha on Thursday.
The 41 minute-recording was filled with his complaints about the postponement of fuel price increase, which was carefully planned by the government.
Yudhoyono said that he was disappointed with the political dynamics in the coalition party’s Joint Secretariat. He said that each party was concerned about their own interests. He repeatedly mentioned the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS), which did not cooperate with the coalition. “The PKS is always like that,” he said.
Julian refused to comment on the speech, saying it is normal for Yudhoyono to convey it in a closed forum.
