Adi Soemarmo Airport Gets KLM Open Direct Flight to Solo

TEMPO Interactive, SURAKARTA:The Adi Soemarmo Airport in Solo is trying to get KLM Airlines to open the Netherlands-Solo route. The general manager of PT Angkasa Pura I, Abdullah Usman, said he had heard that KLM wanted to start direct flights to Ngurah Rai Airport in Bali, but the slot was full.

The Surakarta branch of the Association of the Indonesia Tours and Travel Agencies chairman, Soeharto, said he did not know the details of the plan. “To us, the existence of such a major airline in Solo will be a golden opportunity to get tourists to Solo,” he said.
