Jakarta Grants Rp1.2 Billion to Metro Police
Tuesday, 03 April, 2012 | 17:38 WIB

TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:The Jakarta government has granted Rp1.2 billion to the Metro Police for facilities and infrastructure procurement in accordance with the 2011 proposal.

Police deputy chief Brig. Gen. Suhardi Alius said the fund will be used to buy rubber boats and motorcycles. “This is to support the mobility in securing Jakarta,” he said yesterday.

Jakarta Governor Fauzi Bowo said the grant was expected to maximize the service and strengthen security in the capital city. He hoped the grant could also improve the synergy between the Metro Police and the Jakarta government. “We want to help improve the police’s mobility because Jakarta’s security is non-negotiable,” he said.
