Busyro Leaves Angelina to Investigators
Saturday, 10 March, 2012 | 00:04 WIB

TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Deputy-Chief Busyro Muqoddas has refused to explain why Angelina Sondakh has not been questioned, having been declared a graft suspect. Busyro left the matter to investigators. “Only the investigators know that,” said Busyro at the Justice and Human Rights Ministry office in Jakarta on Thursday.

Busyro explained that the KPK leaders have established a task force responsible for settling the case files of bribery case involving the SEA Games athletes’ village in Palembang. However, Busyro refused to specify why the interrogation was not conducted, including on all witnesses, when the suspects have been declared a month ago.

Angelina was declared a suspect on Feb. 3 by KPK Chief Abrahan Samad. Angelina was the fifth suspect in the bribery case. Earlier, Anak Negeri Marketing Director Mindo Rosalina Manulang , Secretary of the Youth and Sports Ministry Wafid Muharam, Duta Graha Indah Marketing Manager Mohammad El Idris, and former treasurer of the ruling Democrat Party Muhammad Nazaruddin have all undergone the legal process set by the KPK. Rosalina, Wafid, and El Idris have been sentenced by the Jakarta Anti-Graft Court (Tipikor). Meanwhile, Nazaruddin’s legal proceedings are still ongoing.
