Rosa Says Sports Minister Received Project Cuts

TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:Convict Mindo Rosalina Manulang, incriminated for SEA Games athletes’ village project bribery scandal, has reported through her lawyer a minister who allegedly received a commission fee from the project to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) on Thursday, Feb. 23.

Achmad Rifai, Rosalina’s lawyer, refused to specify the identity of the minister. However, the lawyer confirmed that the high-ranking official was present in court as a witness in the trial against athletes’ village case defendant Muhammad Nazaruddin at the Anti-Graft Court (Tipikor), Jakarta, on Wednesday. “Yes, that’s right,” said the lawyer after filing the report.

There was only one high-ranking official who took the stand as witness out of the three witnesses presented in Nazaruddin’s trial: Youth and Sports Minister Andi Alifian Mallarangeng.
