Democrat Party Promises to Discuss Penalties This Week
Monday, 13 February, 2012 | 17:36 WIB

TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:Democrat leaders have promised to implement its honorary council’s request to dismiss several errant leaders within seven days.

“We’ll hold a plenary meeting next week,” said the Democrat’s public communication division chief, Andi Nurpati, yesterday.

Andi confirmed that the central executives would follow up on the recommendations on the dismissal. “We have the mechanism. We’ve also proven that the party has given firm sanction to the executives who oppose the party’s values,” he said.

Deputy secretary-general Ramadhan Pohan supported the honorary council’s step to dismiss problematic cadres. He said he also supported the establishment of the Democrat Supervisory Commission to accelerate the “clean up”.
