TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:Prosecutors in a bribery trial have confirmed that the Manpower Minister Muhaimin Iskandar will be presented in court next week. “[Muhaimin] will testify with Ali Mudhori and M. Fauzi,” said prosecutor Jaya Sitompul at the Anti-Graft Court (Tipikor), Jakarta, on Wednesday.
Ali and Fauzi were mentioned as Muhaimin’s staffers. Ali was a member of the House of Representatives (DPR) from the National Awakening Party (PKB) Faction. Minister Muhaimin and the two will testify against defendant I Nyoman Suisnaya, the Secretary-General of the Transmigration Area Development Directorate.
The bribery case was exposed after the Corruption Eradication Commission collared Nyoman with Dadong Irbarelawan, Head of the Transmigration Program and Evaluation Division, and Alam Jaya Papua Director Dharnawati, a partner in the project. During the arrest, KPK seized Rp1.5 billion stored in a durian cardboard box suspected to be handed over as the project ‘fee’.
