Thursday, 02 February, 2012 | 13:13 WIB
TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:Businessman Iskandar Pasojo or Acos testified that Dani Nawawi, a person claiming himself as a member of the presidential special staff, had asked him for money on behalf of the Manpower Minister Muhaimin Iskandar. The money was to be used as ‘commitment fee’ for securing Regional Infrastructure Development Acceleration funds for four regencies in Papua. The project was to be worked on by project partner Alam Jaya Papua.
“The minister made the request,” Acos quoted Dani’s statement at the Anti-Graft Court (Tipikor). Acos was presented as witness against defendant I Nyoman Suisnaya, Secretary-General of the Transmigration Area Development Directorate.
Acos claimed that Dani served as a mediator between the businessman and the Transmigration Ministry and that Dani was the one introducing Alam Jaya Papua Director Dharnawati—already convicted—with I Nyoman Suisnaya and Dadong Irbarelawan, Head of Planning and Evaluation Division.
