Prosecutors Demand 6 years for Wafid Muharram
Thursday, 24 November, 2011 | 22:28 WIB
TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:Prosecutors have demanded a six year jail term for bribery case defendant Wafid Muharam, implicated in the SEA Games athletes’ village construction project scandal. Prosecutors also requested the Anti-Corruption Court to fine Wafid with a IDR 200 million fine or a six-month subsidiary imprisonment. Prosecutors said Wafid had violated Article 12 of Law No. 31/1999 on Corruption Eradication, which has been revised with Law No. 20/2001. The prosecutor added that Wafid had smoothed out the way for PT Duta Graha Indah to win the tender for the athletes’ village and the South Sumatra function hall construction projects.
