SOEs Asked to Buy SEA Games Tickets

TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:The XXVI SEA Games will open on Friday but its organizing committee (Inasoc) is still offering businesses and state-owned enterprises (SOEs) the chance to help organize the event.


“Businessmen shouldn’t hesitate to support Inasoc. It’s not too late, yet,” Inasoc chairman Rahmat Gobel, said yesterday.


Rahmat said that SOEs could buy tickets and sell them to the public. “The ticket serves as a security tool. We hope the public will respect it as well as the event,” he said.


To encourage more people to watch the SEA Games competition, Rahmat has invited former athletes to be the envoys of their sport. “They can tell the public about their training to become champions,” he said.
