TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:The Judicial Mafia Eradication Task Force has revealed another report implicating the Justice and Human Rights Minister Amir Syamsuddin in the alleged bribery case associated with logging businessman Darianus Lungguk Sitorus in the Supreme Court. “Today’s meeting [Tuesday] is to re-coordinate the report,” said Mas Achmad Santosa, member of the Judicial Mafia Eradication Task Force, on Tuesday.
Achmad Santosa said that the task force received a report by Hendrik R.E. Assa in April 2010. The report contained documents and evidence of funds transfer to some people. The money was used to free Sitorus from a case involving a land dispute in Padang Lawas, South Tapanuli. Sitorus was charged for misusing 80,000 hectares of state-owned forest and turning the land into oil palm plantation without permission.
The documents also mentioned some IDR 141.3-billion worth of money distributed to “handle problems” at the Supreme Court. “This kind of report is categorized as important. Highly important, even,” said Achmad Santosa.
