KPK Receives More Pressures on BLBI

TEMPO Interaktif, Jakarta : Several politicians met with the officials from the Corruption Eradication Commission on Monday to put more pressure to the anti graft comission to take over the Bank Indonesia Liquidity Assistance case. They include lawmakers Ade Daud Nasution (Reform Star Party), Marwan Batubara (House of Regional Reprensetatives) Soeripto (Prosperous Justice Party), law expert Romli Atmasasmita and Firman Wijaya, non-gorvernmental organisations, and students. They argued the commission could take over the central bank case an get to the center of the matter, based on the facts uncovered in the case that put former prosecutor Urip Tri Gunawan and businesswoman Artalyta Suryani to jail.
